If you or a loved one is considering treatment at Stone River Recovery Center, our admissions team is here to help.
Admissions Process
At Stone River Recovery Center, our admissions team is available 24 hours per day to answer your questions about starting treatment.
Stone River Recovery | Admissions Process
During the initial phone consultation, our team will gather information to help us assess the client’s history and need for treatment. In many cases, admissions can occur within a day of the initial phone call.
When calling Stone River Recovery Center, please have the following information available:
- Identification information (including name, address, phone number, and date of birth)
- Medical history
- Relevant family history
- Insurance information
Based on this information and a phone interview, our team will complete an assessment of the client and make treatment evaluations. During this assessment, we examine biological, psychological, and social factors in a person’s life so that we are able to make a proper recommendation for clinical care. This helps our staff develop a deeper understanding of a person and the challenges they are facing.
Insurance Information
When seeking assistance for mental health or substance use disorder concerns, families and individuals are faced with so many decisions. Financial concerns, however, should not be an additional source of stress. At Stone River Recovery Center, we strive to alleviate concerns by being in-network with a growing number of plans. If you or a loved one is concerned about the cost of treatment, please contact us. Our team is available to discuss available options and work with you to find a viable solution.
What to Bring & What to Expect During Detox
What to Bring
For privacy and safety reasons, some items must be left at home before treatment. Please review our packing list before admitting to Stone River. Feel free to bring up any concerns with our team.
What to Expect During Detox
Detoxification, or detox, is the process of allowing the body to rid itself of a substance while managing withdrawal symptoms. Stone River provides a safe and compassionate environment that allows our clients to address withdrawal management. Our detox is managed by a doctor and is supervised 24/7 by licensed nurses and support staff.
Depending on the substance, withdrawal symptoms can range from mild to severe. Common symptoms include anxiety, agitation, sweating, nausea, vomiting, headaches, insomnia, and in some cases, seizures or hallucinations. The medical team is equipped to manage these symptoms and provide relief. Medications may be prescribed to ease withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and address co-occurring mental health conditions.
Counseling and emotional support are also provided to help individuals cope with the psychological aspects of withdrawal. This can include one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and support groups.
Detox alone is not a treatment for a substance use problem. It must be used in conjunction with a progressive model of care that gradually returns an individual to a state of wellness that is not reliant on drug or alcohol dependency.
Understanding what to expect during detox can help alleviate some of the anxiety and uncertainty associated with the process, making it a more manageable and effective first step toward recovery. Please ask your team about any concerns you have about the process.
