The team at Stone River Recovery Center and Outpatient Services is comprised of highly educated and compassionate mental health leaders and treatment teams.
Our growing lineup of clinicians and substance use disorder experts includes physicians, therapists, nurses, counselors and more. With a wide array of backgrounds, experiences and degrees, our goal is to provide our clients with quality care and the best possible experience.
Justin Sanderson
Justin Sanderson
Chief Executive Officer
Justin Sanderson, a Texas native started at Stone River in October of 2023 as the Chief Executive Officer.
With dual undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology from the University of Missouri, a Master’s in Counseling from Webster University, and an MBA from Texas A&M, he blends his clinical expertise and executive finesse. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, he adeptly employed modalities such as EMDR, DBT, and Existential Therapy to facilitate transformative healing for his clients.
Beginning in the non-profit sector, he dedicated his skills to a non-profit children’s bereavement center and progressed to dual diagnosis residential treatments, discovering a passion for higher acuity cases and clinical leadership. As a healthcare executive, he played instrumental roles in the growth and enhancement of multiple treatment facilities in Texas specializing in acute inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services serving both behaviorally and medically complex patients. Justin’s unyielding commitment to operational excellence within his teams resonates deeply to best serve the patients.
Beyond his professional pursuits, he, along with his wife, takes joy in raising their son and daughter as passionate supporters of the Denver Broncos and the Texas A&M Aggies.
Shannon O’Donnell, LCSW, LCDC
Shannon O’Donnell, LCSW, LCDC
Clinical Director
Shannon O’Donnell, LCSW, LCDC, joined Stone River as Clinical Director in October 2023. She became an LCDC in 2010 and graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Shannon believes that working in this field is a true calling for her. She has worked in various setting with an array of populations and every day she becomes more passionate about her calling.
She is truly grateful to have the opportunity to meet people in their most vulnerable state and witness a transformation in their lives. Her specialty is educating people on recovery, mental health and the 12-steps. Shannon feels that if people do not get sober loudly, then the sick continue to suffer quietly. Shannon is originally from Philadelphia (Go Phillies) and is a mom of two boys who are the joy of her life.

Director of Human Resources
Sadie Torres joined Stone River Recovery Center as the Director of Human Resources in October 2023. She earned her BSB in HR Management and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. As a dedicated HR professional with 10 years experience in multiple industries, Sadie has a passion for providing assistance and guidance to all employees regarding HR operations.
With the pandemic bringing to light the importance of mental health, she understands the need of providing affordable and accessible substance recovery and mental health services to all in need. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active, cooking, traveling, and attending sporting events (especially college football games…Go Runners!) and concerts.

Director of Plant Operations
Colbi Stevens-Davis started with Stone River in November of 2023 as the Director of Plant Operations.
Colbi has 10 years of plant-ops experience and is excited to get the opportunity to help people at their lowest. He hails from Augusta, Maine and has resided in San Antonio since 2011. He has a 4 year-old son named Vaughan and is a diehard Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots fan.

Admissions Director
Randi Garcia joined Stone River Recovery Center in October of 2023 as the Director of Intake. She earned her bachelor’s in business administration from Devry University in 2016. Randi brings more than 15 years of experience in a director’s position in various LTC facilities. Randi has utilized her expertise and skills in assisting clients with having the smoothest transition not only in a treatment setting but in life throughout her career in healthcare. Randi is from Victoria, Texas, and now resides in San Antonio and has an impressive diversity of interests, ranging from creating memories with her 4 beautiful children to working on her Businesses.

Director of Outpatient
Lanette Zapata is a Texas native and a proud graduate of UTSA. With 7 years’ experience as licensed master social worker, she has extensive knowledge and expertise in care management, supporting vulnerable populations, and promoting mental health. Lanette is extremely passionate about helping people achieve their goals, create meaningful connections, and help them overcome obstacles to reclaim their lives. She continually strives to make a positive impact and empower the lives she comes across in hopes that it will transform our communities.
